Every year in France, the Observeur du design awards Étoiles du design (stars of design) to the most innovative design creations. This year, 39 stars were given out in product categories ranging from home and sport objects to packaging and furniture. Remember the landmark free-service Parisian bike Velib?
The APCI, the agency for the promotion of industrial design, has been organizing contests since 1999, awarding objects conceived of, fabricated or sold in France.
These objects and many more (see photos above) will be presented to the public and open to voting until January 22, 2009 at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie.
