An old cloister in the beautiful city of Gand in Belgium is housing the Design en Québec exhibit until March 30th.
Produced by the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and the Centre de design de l'UQAM, this retrospective of the past 75 years of design in Québec was launched in Montreal last November at the Centre de design.
Thanks to the liaison developed over many years between the Design Vlaanderen organization and the Centre de design at the UQAM, through their respective directors Johan Valcke and Marc H. Choko, Quebec design is travelling to Belgium to present itself to the Flemish community.
All scenography elements created by the Centre's designer, George Labrecque, pertain to travel: panels, windows and other structures were installed in this historic location that bathes in natural sunlight.
