Latitude Nord prepared a lovely event in honour of the Baccarat House, a celebration of historical and creative luxury, represented by its artistic director Chantal Granier and designer extraordinaire Arik Levy.
In his Saint-Laurent Boulevard store, Sylvain Faucher has completely transformed the retail space by setting up seven layouts worthy of the finest exhibition halls, featuring a particularly harmonious marriage of Poltrona Frau's high end leather with Baccarat's sophisticated baroque-style crystal.
The idea behind this venture: to promote this ancestral house's savoir-faire while giving prominence to its creative potential thanks to the collaboration of designer Arik Levy who, in recent years, has contributed to the name with items that are unexpected, contemporary and yet respectful of the history they stem from.
The day of festivities began with a presentation from Chantal Granier who recounted the Baccarat timeline, its history, the influence of collaborations with designers (Ettore Sottsass, Philippe Starck, etc.) and the enormous media impact created by the Baccarat House's installation in the 16th arrondissement in Paris.
Arik Levy followed suit with an overview of his work (interspersed with family photos); his creations are made in his idea of man, at times purely conceptual, others purely practical, blending poetry with technology.
A houseful of guests came to experience the Crystal, Leather and Champagne event (the title of the evening).
Aficionados should make a special trip to Latitude Nord until the beginning of June to admire this layout of beautiful design items.
